Maximum stay with eVisa is now 90 days

Great news! Tourists can now do an application for a stay up to 90 days online via the eVisa (Visa On Arrival) from anywhere in the world. When the eVisa (Visa On Arrival) was launched on 1st April 2025, it was only possible to apply for a maximum stay of 30 days in Namibia.

Visitors are encouraged to apply for the eVisa (Visa On Arrival) instead of doing the Visa on Arrival at the airport due to long queues forming at the airport. If you are unsure about the process, please have a look at our Namibia Visa Requirements page.

Visitors can also apply for tourist visa extensions

Tourists can pay a fee of N$600 once they are in the country to apply for a tourist visa extension at the Ministry of Home Affairs And Immigration. This can only be done close to the date that the existing tourist visa is expiring.
